Swift Response and Coordination
When a transplant center accepts an organ, they contact us—sometimes through a broker—to arrange transportation. Our import and logistics coordinators immediately assess aircraft availability and confirm the flight. We often operate with as little as two hours’ notice, reflecting our commitment to urgency and efficiency.
Comprehensive Pre-Flight Preparation
Our pilots begin their duty two hours before departure, conducting thorough pre-flight inspections, reviewing weather conditions and finalizing flight plans. This meticulous preparation ensures that every aspect of the journey is optimized for safety and efficiency.
Seamless In-Flight and Ground Operations
Upon arrival at the donor hospital’s nearest airport, our pilots assist the transplant team with unloading equipment. While the team performs the organ recovery, pilots remain on standby, often arranging meals for the surgical team to have during the return flight. This attention to detail enhances the overall efficiency and comfort of the mission.
Adaptability and Commitment to Excellence
We recognize that organ recovery missions are often unpredictable. Our team can accommodate last-minute changes to flight plans due to weather, adjustments to organ recovery timing or the utilization of perfusion devices. Continuous communication between our logistics coordinators and pilots ensures that we operate efficiently, while maintaining our high standards of service and reliability.
