Mission Control: Coordinating Lifesaving Flights
The moment a flight request comes in, our import and logistics coordinators take action to confirm availability and book the flight. They work directly with transplant centers to coordinate flight plans and establish communication channels specific to each mission.
With as little as two hours’ notice, they work alongside our pilots to ensure an aircraft is ready to depart to serve our partners. Our process has been streamlined to ensure that no time is wasted in transporting surgical teams to recover lifesaving organs.
Real-Time Problem Solving
Organ recovery missions are dynamic—weather, hospital schedules or last-minute organ acceptance can shift plans in an instant. That’s why our coordinators work 24/7, monitoring conditions and adjusting flights as needed.
They work closely with pilots to manage flight plans, timing and fuel stops while keeping transplant teams informed of any updates. This proactive communication allows pilots to anticipate the team’s return, ensuring the aircraft is fueled, prepped and engines are running before the team even arrives—saving valuable time to improve patient outcomes.
